Alternatives to subscription QR code generators

Most big QR code generators sell editable (dynamic) codes by subscription. That's a reasonable model for some businesses. But it means a printed code can stop working when a trial ends or a plan lapses, so it's worth knowing the rules before you print.

Each page below sets out what one company says about its trials, plans, cancellations and refunds, quoted from its own website with a link to the source.

Facts change. We checked every source in October 2026. Prices and policies may have changed since, so check each company's own website before you decide.

  • An alternative to QR Code Generator

    qr-code-generator.com

14-day free trial. When the trial ends, its help centre says dynamic codes point to a service page until you upgrade.

  • An alternative to QR TIGER

    qrcode-tiger.com

Free plan with 3 dynamic codes at 500 scans each. Its FAQ says paid dynamic codes stop working if the plan expires.

  • An alternative to Uniqode

    uniqode.com

14-day free trial and annual plans. Its pricing FAQ says dynamic codes become inactive when the trial expires or you cancel.

What KeepQR does instead

  • Static codes are free, need no account and work forever, because they contain your link directly.
  • Editable codes cost £4.99 once, or £19 for 10, with VAT included. No trial, no subscription, no scan limits.
  • We never deactivate a paid code for non-payment. A code is only disabled for abuse.
